University Housing received the following update regarding the Woodlawn Drive Bridge Stream Project:<\/p>\n

SUBJECT:<\/strong>
\nUPDATE – Manoa Stream Improvements at Woodlawn Drive Bridge, DLNR Job No. J38CO56A <\/p>\n

CONTRACTOR:<\/strong>
\nFrank Coluccio Construction Company <\/p>\n

SCOPE OF WORK:<\/strong>
\nContinuation of Phase 2 Construction<\/em> – Upstream, underneath and downstream areas of the existing Woodlawn Drive Bridge.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Contractor is re-establishing Best Management Practices (BMP’s) along the stream embankments and in the stream. BMP’s are practices used to reduce runoff around the project site and within the stream. The Contractor is also re-installing the stream by-pass system and dam. Tentatively 6\/03\/19 to 8\/31\/19, the Contractor will begin re-work of the existing grouted riprap downstream of the existing Woodlawn Drive Bridge. Re-work will consist of chipping a portion of the grouted riprap and re-grouting the riprap embankments. Tentatively 6\/03\/19 to 8\/31\/19, the Contractor will begin sediment dredging of the stream upstream, underneath and downstream of the existing Woodlawn Drive Bridge.<\/p>\n

DURATION OF PROJECT:<\/strong>
\nPhase 1: Complete
\nPhase 2: May 1, 2019 – October 31, 2019 <\/p>\n

HOURS OF CONSTRUCTION:<\/strong> Monday – Friday, 8:00 am \u2013 5:00 pm <\/p>\n

ACCESSIBLE ROUTES:<\/strong> Accessible routes along the Woodlawn Drive Bridge and sidewalks will not be affected, except for the beginning and end of the workday when equipment is moved to continue work and stored overnights and weekends in the base yard. <\/p>\n

ADVISORY:<\/strong> All persons in the vicinity of this construction project are advised to respect all construction barricades and all posted safety\/detour signs. Your patience, cooperation and understanding are requested as the inconveniences inherent to construction (noise, dust, odors and debris) are generated by this project. <\/p>\n

Organizers of upcoming UHM events or ad hoc projects in the vicinity of the construction project are encouraged to contact the Construction Manager to discuss coordination to avoid any conflicts. <\/p>\n
