See our page on Information For Areas with Limited UH Service Access<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0for tips!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> A Travel Signature is an additional signature located on your I-20 or DS-2019 document that confirms that you are maintaining your F-1 or J-1 status and have been authorized to temporarily leave the United States<\/strong> while you are in your F-1 or J-1 program.<\/p>\n It is required on-hand<\/strong> upon arrival into the U.S. after returning from abroad.<\/p>\n Failure to have a Travel Signature on your most recent I-20 or DS-2019 document may result in you being denied entry into the U.S.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div> Travel Signatures are required if you are a continuing student and are planning to travel outside of the United States and return to continue your F-1 or J-1 program<\/strong><\/p>\n This includes:<\/p>\n A travel signature must be on your latest valid I-20 or DS-2019<\/strong> document, even if you still have a valid travel signature on a previous I-20 document.<\/p>\n Example:<\/strong> If you have an I-20 with a travel signature that is still valid, but you recently changed major and received a new I-20, the NEW I-20<\/strong> must have a travel signature if you wish to travel outside the US.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t Travel signatures are not required if:<\/p>\n Planning to Study Abroad or do graduate research abroad? <\/strong>F-1 Students are required to submit an ISS Request for \"Enrollment While Abroad\/Away\" in addition to the Travel Signature Request.<\/span><\/p>\n To request a travel signature please submit an ISS Request for a \"Travel Signature\".<\/p>\n Please make sure your\u00a0U.S. Local Physical Address<\/strong>\u00a0(Current Residence<\/strong>) is up to date at My东精影业<\/a><\/strong> and Permanent Address<\/strong> (Foreign Address) is updated with the Office of the Registrar<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0before submitting requests.<\/p>\n ISS Request<\/a><\/p>\n To re-enter into the United States, you will need:<\/p>\n Note for Students on OPT:<\/strong>\u00a0In addition to the above, OPT employment that\u2019s reported into SEVP Portal Account as well as proof of employment, such as pay stubs, job offer letter and employment verification letter.<\/p>\n For your security, documents should be with you and not in any checked in luggage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" If you are traveling to any of the following areas you may have limited access to your UH Services (including […]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":0,"parent":14383,"menu_order":4,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[77],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-11112","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry","category-travel-pages","post"],"yoast_head":"\nWhat is a Travel Signature?<\/h2>\n
