1) The meeting was convened at 12:15 p.m.
2) Reports
a) Newsletter
Discussion: Gwen reported that the newsletter has been completed and picked up by the mailing service. It will be mailed early next week.
b) President
Discussion: Cora is having difficulty with her computer and has limited access to e-mail for the present time.
c) Events
Discussion: The graduation luncheon is on December 10. Stewart is collecting materials for the graduate packets, assisted by Lei.
Action: Stewart will collect all materials needed for graduate packets by December 3.
d) Treasurer
Discussion: There was no treasury activity last month.
e) O`ahu Reunion 2001
Discussion: We need to set a date for the 2001 O`ahu Reunion. We are considering a catered picnic at Magic Island. We need to get a PA system if announcements, awards, or speeches are part of the program. The Alumnus/Alumna of the Year category for 2001 is special librarian. An article must be placed in the Spring newsletter soliciting nominations.
Action: Gwen will contact Dr. Jacsó regarding his availability in July 2001.
f) ALA Reunion 2001
Discussion: There is no additional news from San Francisco.
g) Operation Manual on web site
Discussion: We need to update the operation manual for board members. The reunion section, treasurer’s information, awards, and database sections need to be revised. The newsletter section has been updated.
Action: Each board member who has a contribution to the manual is to write instructions and send them to Gwen to be placed on the web page.
