I am so HAPPY AND JOYFUL for the wonderful work that you have done, and will be doing in Washington, D.C. It’s amazing to see and hear of our culture being shared for others to become even more knowledgeable about Hawaiian culture.

I was informed years ago that our family used to have 2 poi factories in Laie and numerous loi to work and harvest the Kalo. I don’t hear to much now and would love to see for myself the photos of these things if possible.
Bless you all for your diligence and hard, hard work. I was raised half of my life (I’m 61 yrs. old now) in Calif. But, I never stopped loving and eating poi, dry aku, aku bone, pulehu squid, and all the wonderful food of our people. Although, my doctor’s limit my salt intake, I can eat these–once in awhile.

Take care and Bless you again–ETERNALLY–with those things you are in need of and even more knowledge to assist you with your endeavors.
Mahalo nui!! Malama Pono.

lovingly yours,
Aunty Rose
