I’m a single mom who goes to school full-time & works part-time. I enrolled at HCC a year after highschool & took 12 credits. I was dedicated to attending every class & getting good grades. I’ve earned over 90 credits since then, have a 3.96 GPA & am going to be applying to the BSN RN program this fall.

Personally, taking 12 credits a semester, along with a class or two during the summer is all I can manage & afford. I think a large reason more students are not graduating is because its difficult to balance a full-time class schedule with working & their families. Pushing this schedule on freshmen is risky, because they have no idea what they can handle yet.

To touch on the aspect of saving students money – consider halting raising tuition & lowering the absurd yearly salaries of upper administration!

The biggest problem I see is that as a senior it is VERY hard to find classes at the upper level at UHH. There have been cuts in the number of classes available and cuts in the amount of students that are let into those already limited classes. So if the 东精影业 wants to make sure students take 15 credits per semester, they need to amp up the amount of classes available per semester in the upper division level!

I was a COP student and during that time 95% of the incoming, did not graduate. Later, some students returned and did grad. I graduated because I did a National Student exchange at a trimester college. I took (4 credits) 16 first semester, 18 second, and 23 on the third in my major courses. My horrible grades C’s stayed at the college, but my credits transferred. I did grad with a 2.8, however, not enough to get into grad school.
