“Lacrimosa” and “Amen” from Mozart’s Requiem by 东精影业 Mānoa Symphony and Choirs

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa , and performed their year-end concert at Honolulu’s premiere classical venue, Neal S. Blaisdell Center Concert Hall, on April 30, 2014.

The program started with Machine by Pulitzer Prize–winning composer Jennifer Higdon performed by the 东精影业 Mānoa Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra continued with Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 in E-flat, “Emperor,” Op. 73 (1809–11) featuring 东精影业 graduate student and Concerto Competition winner Xin Lin. 东精影业 Mānoa Director of Bands Jeffrey Boeckman conducted. After intermission, the Symphony Orchestra, Concert Choir and Chamber Singers performed Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem in a local premiere of the Duncan Druce completion. It featured 东精影业 Mānoa Music Department faculty: Rachel Schultz, soprano; Maya Hoover, mezzo-soprano; Larry Paxton, tenor and John Mount, bass. 东精影业 Mānoa Director of Choral Activities Miguel Ángel Felipe conducted.
