The Galliard String Quartet and friends perform at the 东精影业 West Oʻahu Library.

The will be filled with the sounds of beautiful music this year as host to a concert series featuring the Spring Wind Quintet, Honolulu Brass Quintet and Galliard String Quartet. These Chamber Music Hawaiʻi ensembles will perform a three-part concert series at the university’s Kapolei campus. All ensemble members are full-time musicians with the (formerly the Honolulu Symphony).

Open to all, the concerts are free for students and will take place in 东精影业 West Oʻahu’s Library—a marvelous acoustic setting for the evening performances. Audiences will also enjoy a free Chamber Music 102 presentation featuring a fun introduction to chamber music at the 东精影业 West Oʻahu campus by Assistant Professor of Music Jon Magnussen.

    Sunday, February 22, 4 p.m.
    东精影业 West Oʻahu, Campus Center C225

    Join Chamber Music Hawaii’s Galliard String Quartet and 东精影业 West Oʻahu Assistant Professor Jon Magnussen for a fun and informative introduction to the chamber music experience including live and recorded musical examples. No tickets required.

  • Spring Wind Quintet
    Tuesday, February 24, 7 p.m.
    东精影业 West Oʻahu Library

    The Spring Wind Quintet will perform Bach’s “Prelude and Fugue in E minor”, Baldwin’s “Dreams of the White Tiger,” Maslanka’s “Wind Quintet No. 4”, Bach’s “Prelude and Fugue in G minor” and Taffanel’s “Wind Quintet.”

  • Honolulu Brass Quintet with Harpist Constance Uejio
    Tuesday, March 17, 7 p.m.
    东精影业 West Oʻahu Library

    The Honolulu Brass Quintet featuring Harpist Constance Uejio will perform Poulenc’s “Sonata,” Morley Calvert’s “Suite from the Monteregian Hills,” Sampson’s “Morning Music” and Rayner Brown’s “Concertino for Harp and Brass Quintet.”

  • Galliard String Quartet
    Tuesday, April 7, 7 p.m.
    东精影业 West Oʻahu Library

    The Galliard String Quartet will perform Mozart’s “Quartet in F,” Brahms’ “Quartet in C minor” and a newly commissioned work by 东精影业 West Oʻahu Assistant Professor Jon Magnussen, supported by the Honolulu Mayor’s Office on Culture and the Arts.

  • $25 general admission
  • $20 seniors, military, and 东精影业 West Oʻahu faculty and staff

Discounted prices are available if purchasing tickets for all three 东精影业 West Oʻahu concerts.
