The 2015 (SACNAS) regional meeting will be held at the , April 17–19. Hosting is the , which was the winner of the Outstanding New Chapter Award in 2014.
The SACNAS regional meeting highlight is from two distinguished guest presenters—Maggie Werner-Washburne, former SACNAS president and Regent’s Professor of Biology at the and Ahna Skop, associate professor of genetics at the . The regional meeting will also feature science symposium and career and professional development workshops. The three-day consortium will provide resources and inspiration to advance underrepresented minority STEM students and professionals in their education and careers.
Submitting abstracts
Undergraduates, graduate students and postdocs from science, technology, engineering or math disciplines are encouraged to submit an abstract to present their research by Friday, April 3, 2015, 5 p.m. Go to the for more information on submitting and abstract. Awards will be distributed for exceptional presentations.

Members of the ʻIlima SACNAS host chapter have won national awards for their outstanding scientific research presentations.
