The board of directors of the has announced the appointment of Sylvia Yuen as the new executive director, effective July 1, 2015.
Yuen has had a long and distinguished career at 东精影业 that spans decades in both academics and administration. She has dedicated her professional and personal life to serving Hawaiʻi’s families and communities.
For almost 20 years, Yuen focused her efforts on building and leading 东精影业’s , which grew under her leadership from an idea to a vibrant unit of 东精影业 Mānoa. Yuen also served as the interim dean of 东精影业 Mānoa’s . She was the first woman to direct the college since it was founded in 1907. She also served on former 东精影业 President MRC Greenwood’s leadership team to focus on food security and safety.
Yuen has served on the boards of directors for numerous nonprofit organizations and on various advisory committees including the , , , , and the Federal Judicial Selection Commission.
