Your generosity, as well as your administration and management, is greatly appreciated. I wish you much success as the new legislative session approaches. We definitely need more funds for the academic part of UH, both research and teaching.

Not only did you not seek a pay raise, you’ve been generous to give back part of it to UH. Is this the first time that a UH Prexy has given a significant amount to UH? (the former president, on the other hand, who got a higher salary, kept insisting on receiving a $5K monthly housing alloancee!)

May there be enough gratitude in everyones hearts to push aside the negativity and just be thankful for your generosity.

Hopefully someday our little Kauaʻi CC will have compliance with ADA problems as well as a Hawaiian studies building so that we are not afraid to walk up the ramp, or study on the lanai, in fear of it crashing or someone getting hurt.

Generosity has itʻs rewards. Please remember to voice forward the needs that you have known of since you have been President.
