I have since moved to the mainland and I realize two fatal weaknesses for the system. You need to buy the fish food pellets commercially, it is otherwise not self sustaining

Another caveat is that most towns in the United states have zoning laws that would not allow a system to be set up on a small scale residential level. This to me is the biggest drawback. It has all the potential to make people self reliance for food, but that issue stands in the way
