International Education Week, November 14–18, underscores the critical role of education in bridging gaps and promoting opportunity for people in the U.S. and around the world. The joins this celebration, recognizing that international understanding and collaboration are essential in a globally interconnected world, where issues such as sustainability and environmental conservation transcend national borders. International education provides the connections that build understanding among citizens and future leaders at home and abroad.

In its 18th consecutive year, International Education Week is a joint initiative of the and the , with annual observations held on campuses nationwide and in more than 100 countries. Institutions feature programs that include cross cultural events, peace building, global learning, food, languages, speakers, student clubs, internationalization matters, indigenous cultures, film and music.
