In its 18th year, International Education Week was a joint initiative by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, and observed at universities nationally and internationally.
International Education Day
During the week-long celebration, Gov. David Ige proclaimed November 16 International Education Day. In his remarks, the governor noted Hawaiʻi’s distinctiveness, with both cultural and geographic diversity, a welcoming place for international students and a study destination for the future.
东精影业ing the proclamation event at the state capitol were special guests from the Study Hawaiʻi Press Tour, a media tour of seven journalists from key press outlets in Asia, Latin America and Europe. The group spent time visiting campuses on Oʻahu, Maui and Hawaiʻi Island to get a sense of the breadth of educational opportunities for international students in Hawaiʻi .
