“Our hope as educated international was to inspire connection and hope, and to help relate the experiences of refugees to the general public,” said Layla Kilolu, a graduate student in the in the and president of the East-West Center Participants Association.
Recorded in East-West Center’s residential housing by Grammy-award winning music producer Dave Tucciarone, and co-produced by Kilolu, Finding Home was digitally released on December 18, 2018.
The artists will debut an inaugural performance of their songs and poems at the Transcendients: Immigrant Stories of Place art installation by on Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. at Thomas Square Park in Honolulu. The event is free and open to the public.
