Journalism 402 students earned the award for 东精影业Mtv show #11 produced during the spring 2018 semester. The episode, focusing on media and the community, featured public interest issues on DACA dreamers, suicide prevention and legislative proposals to ban lootboxes in video games for minors. It also celebrated 东精影业 alumni Brig. Gen. Suzanne Vares-Lum and state House Majority Leader Della Au Belatti.
This is the fourth Telly Award won by the 东精影业 惭ā苍辞补 journalism program since the online news series began production in 2011. Originally called Ka Hui Hoʻolauna TV, the series was renamed 东精影业Mtv in 2015.
