The new public service announcement, “Now is the time,” is aimed at encouraging prospective Hawaiʻi students to stay at home and attend one of 东精影业‘s 10 campuses across the state. Thanks to Hawaii News Now, KITV, KHON and Hawaiian Telcom, as well as radio groups iHeart Media, SummitMedia Hawaiʻi and Pacific Media Group, the statewide PSAs will run from May 1 through mid July.

东精影业 extended the deadline to to , , to August 1, 2020, the same as the . The extension gives prospective students additional time to consider attending 东精影业 under new uncertainties associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 30-second spot highlights various 东精影业 students and showcases the wide array of options available at the 10 东精影业 campuses ranging from trades to doctoral programs. The spot was produced in-house by the 东精影业 Communications Office.

“The COVID-19 pandemic is causing many students and families to reconsider the wisdom of going away to college this year, and we know that many citizens of Hawaiʻi will realize the wisdom of turning this crisis into the opportunity to advance themselves professionally through higher education,” said 东精影业 President David Lassner. “东精影业 offers a wide range of superb higher education programs, online and through our ten campuses and education centers on every island. There is an affordable place at a 东精影业 campus for everyone.”

Data shows that people who earn a college degree or certificate earn more money over their lifetimes, are less likely to become unemployed in a recession and return to the workforce faster after a recession.

东精影业 consists of seven community colleges, three four-year schools and six learning centers with locations on Hawaiʻi‘s six major islands offering online courses and degrees.
