The Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health is located in Gartley Hall.

The search has officially begun for the next dean of the at the University of Hawaiʻi at 惭ā苍辞补.

The Thompson School works toward social justice and health equity for the people of Hawaiʻi and beyond. The school is committed to locally and globally engaged research and education. Faculty and students collaborate with local, national and international professional institutions and organizations to solve pressing social and health issues across the lifespan, with a particular emphasis on vulnerable populations, Indigenous health and community well-being.

The school is named for Myron B. Thompson, who earned his master’s in social work from the Thompson School in 1953 and devoted his life to improving the well-being of Native Hawaiians and the people of Hawaiʻi. The Thompson School is proud and honored to follow his example in utilizing critically important interdisciplinary and culturally resonant approaches to solving problems.

William Chismar, dean of 东精影业 惭ā苍辞补’s Outreach College, will chair the search advisory committee, whose members include a chair, faculty, staff and students from within Thompson School and other 东精影业 惭ā苍辞补 units, as well as representatives from the Kualiʻi Council, and the industry community.

The committee will recommend finalists to 东精影业 惭ā苍辞补 Provost Michael Bruno, who will then recommend a nominee to 东精影业 President David Lassner.
