Hensel noted that the university is having productive conversations with legislators and recognizes the challenges they face in balancing many urgent needs for Hawaiʻi’s people this year.
Hensel delivered her report from Portland, Oregon, where the 东精影业 惭ā苍辞补 men’s basketball team prepared to compete in the first round of the NCAA Division I Tournament.
Hensel also highlighted an exploratory effort to strengthen coordination between JABSOM and the 东精影业 Cancer Center and the launch of a 东精影业 Hilo AI certificate.
Hensel also highlighted exploration of a unified 东精影业 West Oʻahu and Leeward Community College; the success of the AI chatbots; and the Direct2UH initiative.
President Hensel also highlighted food aid efforts and student information dashboard updates.
Hensel outlined the university’s strategy to safeguard mission-critical programs and maintain student services during the shutdown.
Hensel also presented the 东精影业 President’s Award for Excellence in building and grounds maintenance to Ivan Hartison.
Hensel also highlighted record extramural funding, Honolulu CC’s Advanced Manufacturing Program Facility and the 东精影业 Alumni Makers’ Market.
Hensel also honored Willard Wilson Award winner Professor Robert Toonen.
