{"id":106611,"date":"2019-11-21T12:00:07","date_gmt":"2019-11-21T22:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/?p=106611"},"modified":"2019-11-21T12:00:07","modified_gmt":"2019-11-21T22:00:07","slug":"w-2-forms-available-electronically","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2019\/11\/21\/w-2-forms-available-electronically\/","title":{"rendered":"W-2 forms available electronically for <abbr title=\"东精影业\">东精影业<\/abbr> employees"},"content":{"rendered":"<span class=\"span-reading-time rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\"> &lt; 1<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minute<\/span><\/span><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/system-seal.png\" alt=\"UH seal in System gold\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-63128\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/system-seal.png 260w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/system-seal-130x130.png 130w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> employees can now receive their W-2 Wage and Tax Statement electronically for the upcoming tax season.<\/p>\n<p>The benefits to receiving W-2 statements electronically include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Access to W-2 statements earlier than the traditional paper process.<\/li>\n<li>Eliminates the chance of W-2 statements getting lost or misdirected.<\/li>\n<li>Employees can retrieve their W-2 statements 24 hours a day\/7 days a week as long as they have an active status or within 120 days of their termination effective date.<\/li>\n<li>Employees can print multiple copies at their convenience.<\/li>\n<li>Employees are contributing to cost savings (e.g. forms, envelopes, postage, duplicate copy fee, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>W-2 statements will remain online for multiple years (beginning with calendar year 2018).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To receive W-2 statements electronically, employees should log into the <a href=\"http:\/\/hihpsso.hip.hawaii.gov\">Employee Self Service website<\/a>. Once logged in, employees can click on &ldquo;W-2\/W-2c Consent.&rdquo; The Consent Form page will display a statement about the form, the current consent status, and a checkbox to consent to receive an electronic form. By default, the box to consent to electronic W-2 and W-2c forms will be unchecked. Checking the box and clicking &ldquo;Submit&rdquo; provides consent to receive an electronic W-2 form. A confirmation page will appear indicating that the submission was successful.<\/p>\n<p>The last day to consent to an electronic W-2 statement is Monday, December 30, 2019.
