University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> head coach Nick Rolovich<\/strong> was selected as the Mountain West\u2019s Coach of the Year as picked by a panel of media and the league\u2019s 12 head coaches. In addition, a record 11 Rainbow Warriors<\/a> were honored on the all-conference teams.<\/p>\n

Rolovich, who guided the Rainbow Warriors (9-4) to a West Division title, is the program\u2019s first coach of the year honoree and the first 东精影业<\/abbr> head coach to win a conference coach of the year award since June Jones in 2007. Overall, Rolovich earned 东精影业<\/abbr>\u2019s seventh coach of year award and joins Jones, Bob Wagner and Dick Tomey, all of whom were honored by the Western Athletic Conference.<\/p>\n

Slot receiver Cedric Byrd II<\/abbr><\/strong> was 东精影业<\/abbr>\u2019s lone representative on the all-conference first team. The senior is the team leader in receptions (91) and receiving yards (1,049). He has reached the end zone 10 times and has caught at least four passes in all 13 games this season, ranking 12th nationally with a 7.0 receptions per game average.<\/p>\n

Three Warriors were named to the second team—quarterback Cole McDonald<\/strong>, wide receiver JoJo Ward<\/strong> and offensive lineman Ilm Manning<\/strong>. Seven others were honorable mention—defensive backs Cortez Davis<\/strong> and Rojesterman Farris II<\/abbr><\/strong>, defensive linemen Kaimana Padello<\/strong> and Blessman Taʻala,<\/span><\/strong> offensive linemen Gene Pryor<\/strong> and Taaga Tuulima<\/strong>, and linebacker Solomon Matautia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 11 honorees are the most since 东精影业<\/abbr> joined the Mountain West in 2012.<\/p>\n
