This year\u2019s competition, which is normally hosted at Hong Kong University, was held virtually, June 6&#8211;9.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty teams representing 12 countries were given six hours to analyze their case study, prepare slides, record a video and submit their presentation by the deadline&#8212;all while collaborating online.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s case topics included blockchain (records of cryptocurrency transactions), sustainability and the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/competition.acrc.hku.hk\/APAC\/Draws\/2020\">The winners of the 2020 competition are:<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Champion&#8212;Peking University, China<\/li>\n<li>1st runner up&#8212;Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines<\/li>\n<li><strong>2nd runner up&#8212;<abbr title=\"东精影业\">东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa\u2013Shidler College of Business, <abbr title=\"United States of America\">U.S.<\/abbr><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>3rd runner up&#8212;Sunway University, Malaysia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&ldquo;The <abbr title=\"Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and Hong Kong University\">HSBC\/HKU<\/abbr> Asia Pacific Business Case Competition allowed us to bridge our academic knowledge with real business practices,&rdquo; said team member <strong>Kelly Zheng<\/strong>. &ldquo;It was truly a unique learning experience and equipped us with the knowledge and skills to tackle business problems facing our world today. Our team is extremely grateful for the opportunity to represent our college, state and country.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Other team members included <strong>Amber Kim<\/strong>, <strong>Jordan Abanto<\/strong> and <strong>Alex Tyau<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I truly admire our students for working through these unprecedented times, training virtually while completing courses and working through internships,&rdquo; shared <strong>Constancio Paranal<\/strong>, Shidler faculty member and team advisor. &ldquo;It was challenging competing long-distance.
