The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> honored 29 exemplary Hawaiʻi<\/span> students as 2020 Regents and Presidential Scholars<\/a>. These scholarships recognize and support Hawaiʻi<\/span> high school and college students with a record of outstanding academic achievement.<\/p>\n

“The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> is proud to support some of the most amazing students in our state through our flagship scholarship program,” said 东精影业<\/abbr> President David Lassner<\/strong>. “Normally we would honor these impressive scholars and their families in person, but unfortunately that kind of celebration isn\u2019t possible right now. So today we honor what they have done and take a moment to look forward to the remarkable difference they will each be able to make for Hawaiʻi<\/span> and the planet with a world-class University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> education.”<\/p>\n

Regents Scholars receive a full tuition waiver for four years of undergraduate study, and Presidential Scholars receive a full tuition waiver for two years of undergraduate study. All scholars also receive $4,000 a year and a one-time travel grant of $2,000.<\/p>\n

Regents Scholars<\/h2>\n

Regents Scholarships are awarded to outstanding freshmen who receive an SAT<\/abbr> total score of at least 1340 or ACT<\/abbr> combined score of at least 29, maintain at least a 3.5 GPA<\/abbr> in academic subjects in high school, and whose extracurricular achievements are shown to be remarkable.<\/p>\n
