Hilo physician John Uohara<\/strong> created a scholarship for the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Hilo Vulcan athletics<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The Uohara Family Endowed Excellence Scholarship in Women’s Volleyball will support members of Hilo’s women’s volleyball team who demonstrate academic excellence.<\/p>\n

Uohara launched the fund with a $20,000 gift, which 东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo has matched thanks to a limited-time matching gift program made possible by a donation from an anonymous donor. A native of Hilo, Uohara earned his medical degree from the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Mānoa John A. Burns School of Medicine<\/a>. <\/p>\n

东精影业<\/abbr> Mānoa’s Shidler College of Business<\/a> received gifts totaling $286,500.<\/p>\n

Reginald Worthley<\/strong> and Eve Shere<\/strong> established the Reginald Worthley and Eve Shere Endowed Scholarship for Excellence with a gift estimated at $236,500.<\/p>\n

Claire Durham<\/strong> established the Claire Durham Scholarship with a donation of $50,000.<\/p>\n

Shere and Durham are graduates of the 东精影业<\/abbr> Mānoa executive MBA<\/abbr> program and Worthley is a professor at the College of Business. <\/p>\n
