The award recognizes an individual whose reviewer skills, expertise in horticulture, and specific areas of research, instruction and extension are outstanding. <\/p>\n<p>Kobayashi, who is also an American Society for Horticultural Science Fellow, splits his time between teaching, research and extension. His research efforts focus on light effects on plants, and he has mentored dozens of students throughout his tenure at  <abbr title=\"东精影业\">东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa.
