The vaccines were given to <abbr title=\"东精影业\">东精影业<\/abbr> health science faculty, staff and students who provide direct patient care or are considered post-secondary essential workers and first responders. <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> hosted the <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Department of Health (<abbr>DOH<\/abbr>) Point of Distribution (<abbr>POD<\/abbr>), which also serviced some <abbr title=\"kindergarten to grade 12\">K&#8211;12<\/abbr> frontline essential workers, including school nurses and those caring for medically fragile students. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/manoa-get-vaccinated-uh-i-did-300x170.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"170\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-134271\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/manoa-get-vaccinated-uh-i-did-300x170.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/manoa-get-vaccinated-uh-i-did-130x73.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/manoa-get-vaccinated-uh-i-did.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;<abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> health science faculty from the <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa, <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo and <span aria-label=\"Kapi\u02bbolani\">Kapioi&#699;lani<\/span> Community College organized quickly with <abbr>DOH<\/abbr> to deliver the vaccine to frontline essential worker students and faculty while providing valuable clinical learning experiences for our students,&rdquo; said <strong>Mary G. Boland<\/strong>, <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa <a href=\"http:\/\/nursing.hawaii.edu\">School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene<\/a> dean. &ldquo;<abbr>POD<\/abbr> clinics are a multifaceted, complex operation that demonstrate the importance of interprofessional education, teamwork and collaboration. Our students are getting real-time education in pandemic preparedness and disaster response.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The event was coordinated by the <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene, John A. Burns School of Medicine and the <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy, in partnership with the <abbr>DOH<\/abbr> and the <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Emergency Management Agency.
