This initiative helps <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> high school graduates to complete their degrees with a summer course at one of 10 <abbr title=\"东精影业\">东精影业<\/abbr> campuses. These scholarships will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> high school graduates from the classes of 2016 to 2020 who earned college credits from any <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> campus through the Early College program.<\/p>\n<p>On April 7, <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> sent an email offering the new scholarship to 1,500 former Early College students who did not attend any college or university after high school graduation. Invited students can apply by clicking the link in the email. Once awarded, they will also need to apply for <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> admission and register for a <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> summer course. <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> campuses\u2019 summer sessions begin on May 24, 2021. Any eligible student that has questions about the scholarship can send an email to <a href=\"mailto:back2UH@hawaii.edu\">back2UH@hawaii.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Early College is a partnership between <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> high schools and <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> that allows high school students to take college classes while still in high school. A college education provides learning and career opportunities and is associated with more stable employment, wellness and civic engagement,&rdquo; said <strong>Erika Lacro<\/strong>, vice president for the <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Community Colleges. &ldquo;We welcome our former Early College students back to <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> with a summer scholarship to get restarted.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/system-round-2-stronger-you-1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"family in graduation attire\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-130230\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/system-round-2-stronger-you-1-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/system-round-2-stronger-you-1-130x73.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/system-round-2-stronger-you-1.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These scholarships are supported by a grant from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/2018\/11\/19\/lumina-grant-support-adult-degree-completion\/\">Lumina Foundation<\/a> that has supported a <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> initiative to encourage residents to return to college to finish degrees. The initiative included the <a href=\"http:\/\/hawaii.edu\/round2\">Round 2.
