Footage for the film was collected over 10 months and included one-on-one interviews and talk story sessions with numerous <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> leaders&#8212;including University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> at M\u0101noa experts&#8212;and an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Zh1vW-OqZ-Y\">Illumination Village<\/a> with learning stations.<\/p>\n<p><abbr title=\"东精影业\">东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa experts who contributed to and were featured in the film included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Director of the Institute for Sustainability and Resilience <strong>Makenna Coffman<\/strong> discussed the impacts of climate change on <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> and what <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> is doing to mitigate or adapt to climate change.<\/li>\n<li>Associate Professor of Natural Resources and Environmental Management <strong>Susan Crow<\/strong> spoke on a panel discussing decarbonizing the economy and carbon sequestration.<\/li>\n<li>Professor of Information and computer sciences <strong>Jason Leigh<\/strong> and his LAVA team\u2019s project HAVEN&#8212;an interactive 3D energy planning modeling tool&#8212;was featured in the film. HAVEN was created in partnership with Hawaiian Electric and the <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> State Energy Office.<\/li>\n<li>Director of the Spark Matsunaga Institute for Peace <strong>Maya Soetoro-Ng<\/strong> expressed what gives her hope.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The film showcased the diverse efforts and the innovative solutions charting the way in <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>, navigating a path toward a resilient and sustainable future.
