The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span>\u2019s three universities—东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa, 东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo and 东精影业<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span>—received high marks in the U.S. News and World Report<\/em> 2022–23 Best Colleges<\/a> rankings released on September 11.<\/p>\n

U.S. News and World Report<\/em> selected the top 1,500 four-year institutions out of the approximately 2,640 four-year nationwide<\/a> and graded them on 17 measures of academic quality, including graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, expert opinions, financial resources and student excellence.<\/p>\n

“These latest rankings confirm what we\u2019ve heard from many, many others. The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> is a fabulous institution and across our campuses, we have a place for everyone,” 东精影业<\/abbr> President David Lassner<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n

东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa<\/h2>\n

东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa<\/a>, the flagship campus of the 东精影业<\/abbr> System, ranked No<\/abbr>. 83 as a top U.S. public university; No<\/abbr>. 166 overall in the U.S.; No<\/abbr>. 200 as a best value school, which factors in academic quality and cost; and No<\/abbr>. 67 for institutions whose students graduated carrying the least debt. 东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa also tied for No<\/abbr>. 6 in the nation in ethnic diversity and ranked No<\/abbr>. 178 in social mobility, which measures how well schools graduated students who were federal Pell Grant recipients.<\/p>\n

The Shidler College of Business<\/a> came in No<\/abbr>. 13 for international business programs and No<\/abbr>. 128 among the best undergraduate business programs, out of 516 undergraduate business programs ranked. The Nancy Atmospera-Walch School of Nursing<\/a> is the nation\u2019s No<\/abbr>. 93 best undergraduate nursing program, among 681 ranked undergraduate nursing programs. The College of Engineering<\/a> placed No<\/abbr>. 137 among the best undergraduate engineering programs in the U.S., and the Information and Computer Sciences Department<\/a> ranked as the No<\/abbr>. 121 best undergraduate computer science program, out of 537 ranked programs.<\/p>\n

东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo<\/a> retained its No<\/abbr>. 1 ranking as one of the nation\u2019s most ethnically diverse campuses, tying for the top spot with Andrews University in Michigan. Students at 东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo in fall 2021 reported being 15.4% Asian, 8.3% Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, 19.4% white, and 35.8% of two or more races.<\/p>\n

东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo also ranked No<\/abbr>. 56 for social mobility, No<\/abbr>. 146 as a top U.S. public university, No<\/abbr>. 285 overall in the nation and No<\/abbr>. 86 for institutions whose students graduated carrying the least debt. In addition, 东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo\u2019s School of Nursing<\/a> is the No<\/abbr>. 206 best undergraduate nursing program in the U.S., and the College of Business and Economics<\/a> placed No<\/abbr>. 283 among the best undergraduate business programs.<\/p>\n

东精影业<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span><\/a> ranked No<\/abbr>. 11 among best U.S. public colleges in the West, and No<\/abbr>. 9 with the least student debt and tied for No<\/abbr>. 3 with the highest ethnic diversity, among regional colleges in the West. 东精影业<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> was also the No<\/abbr>. 24-ranked regional college in the West, and No<\/abbr>. 19 for social mobility among regional colleges in the West.<\/p>\n

Ranking categories<\/h2>\n

东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa and 东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo were included in the national universities category, which featured institutions that offer a full range of undergraduate majors, master\u2019s and doctoral programs, and emphasize faculty research or award professional practice doctorates. 东精影业<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span> is in the regional colleges in the West category, which includes schools that focus on undergraduate education and grant fewer than 50% of their degrees in liberal arts disciplines.<\/p>\n
