On this day, I sat in reflection of all things l\u0101hui (nation)&#8212;from &#699;ike (knowledge), to &#699;\u0101ina (land), to our people, K\u0101naka Maoli, the Indigenous people of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>. I draw inspiration from their aloha, resilience, brilliance and everlasting contributions throughout the pae &#699;\u0101ina (archipelago) and across many seas. To all our k\u016bpuna (elders), mahalo nui.
