href=\"https:\/\/www.olelo.hawaii.edu\/en\/khuok\/\">Ka Haka <span aria-label=\"Ula\">&#699;Ula<\/span> O <span aria-label=\"Keelikolani\">Ke&#699;elikolani<\/span>, College of Hawaiian Language<\/a> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/hilo.hawaii.edu\/\">University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> at Hilo<\/a>, has launched a new weekly video series called <span aria-label=\"Moohua\">Mo&#699;ohua<\/span> featuring a &ldquo;Word of the Week.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Each Wednesday, an <span aria-label=\"olelo\">&#699;&#333;lelo<\/span> <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> (Hawaiian language) word is introduced along with its meaning and an example of the word being used in a sentence.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/hilo-moohua-logo.jpg\" alt=\"moohua logo\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-167653\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/hilo-moohua-logo.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/hilo-moohua-logo-130x130.jpg 130w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hale <span aria-label=\"Kuamoo\">Kuamo&#699;o<\/span> decided to name the weekly series <span aria-label=\"Moohua\">Mo&#699;ohua<\/span> with the idea that it would feature various hua (words) with a connection to <span aria-label=\"moolelo\">mo&#699;olelo<\/span> (story) and <span aria-label=\"moomeheu\">mo&#699;omeheu<\/span> (culture).<\/p>\n<p>The first two introductory videos feature <strong>Kekailiko Medeiros<\/strong>, a 2022 <abbr title=\"东精影业\">东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo graduate who earned a <abbr title=\"bachelor of arts\">BA<\/abbr> in <a href=\"https:\/\/hilo.hawaii.edu\/catalog\/hawaiian-studies\">Hawaiian studies<\/a> and a certificate in <span aria-label=\"olelo\">&#699;&#333;lelo<\/span> <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>, and <strong>Joe Lindsey<\/strong>, a <a href=\"https:\/\/hilo.hawaii.edu\/catalog\/business-administration.php\">business administration<\/a> and Hawaiian
