Every single gift makes an impact and we thank each and every one of you.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/system-foundation-giving-2022-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Thank you! Stronger together Giving Tuesday\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-169801\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/system-foundation-giving-2022-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/system-foundation-giving-2022-130x130.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/system-foundation-giving-2022.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The gift totals include nearly $70,000 from 24 matching funds from campus administrators, alumni and friends; and $31,500 from seven challenges, including $25,000 from <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> President <strong>David Lassner<\/strong>, who challenged donors to give 1,500 gifts. The 1,960 donors represent a 60% increase over the number who gave to <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> on Giving Tuesday in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as an American day of philanthropy and giving in response to the consumerism of Black Friday and the holidays.
