The topics included upcoming renovations to the Sinclair Student Success Center, U.S. military impacts on <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> and the Pacific, and how <abbr title=\"东精影业\">东精影业<\/abbr> students are turning community service into college credits.<\/p>\n<p>Two, 30-minute fall 2022 <abbr title=\"东精影业 at Manoa television\">东精影业Mtv<\/abbr> news shows focused on civic and community engagement issues involving campus life, <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> research and legislative policies. The shows were written, hosted and produced by students in the Journalism 470 course in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sci.manoa.hawaii.edu\/\">School of Communication and Information<\/a>, and filmed in the state-of-the-art <a href=\"https:\/\/socialsciences.manoa.hawaii.edu\/\">College of Social Sciences<\/a> Digital Studios in the Sinclair Student Success Center.<\/p>\n<p>The first show aired on December 10, and included the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Petition to rename the Life Sciences Building in honor of First Lady of Limu<\/li>\n<li><abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa service learning opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Possible legalization of sports betting in <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Talk story session with proud <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> alumnus and military veteran <abbr title=\"General\">Gen<\/abbr>. <strong>Robert Lee<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QN1u_JCdr-g\">View this show on <abbr>东精影业Mtv<\/abbr>\u2019s YouTube page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The second show aired on December 17, and included the following topics:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/manoa-social-sciences-uhmtv-fall-2022-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-170641\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/manoa-social-sciences-uhmtv-fall-2022-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/manoa-social-sciences-uhmtv-fall-2022-130x73.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/manoa-social-sciences-uhmtv-fall-2022.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>U.S. military impacts on <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> and the Pacific<\/li>\n<li>Latest renovation plans for the Sinclair Student Success Center<\/li>\n<li>Support services for <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa international students<\/li>\n<li>Talk story session with proud <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> alumnus and <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> News Now reporter <strong>Dillon Ancheta<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1CB0VPBkMyQ\">View this show on <abbr>东精影业Mtv<\/abbr>\u2019s YouTube page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It was an amazing experience to go from creating our (story) packages together as a team, to filming in-studio and then being able to slowly see it all come together in the edit,&rdquo; said <strong><span aria-label=\"Hiilawe\">Hi&#699;ilawe<\/span> Neves<\/strong>, who was a producer, anchor and editor. &ldquo;Our class worked extremely hard on Show 29 and 30 and I think our bond with one another was what really made the shows great. Watching the shows at the end of the semester on <abbr>K5<\/abbr> was surreal, I just felt so proud of myself, my classmates and my professors for getting through this semester and creating something we are all happy with.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elyce Hastings<\/strong>, one of the producers, added, &ldquo;Working on the <abbr>东精影业Mtv<\/abbr> show has been a grand opportunity that has allowed me to not only grow as a writer, but as an artist as a whole.
