The $70 million <a href=\"https:\/\/www.risemanoa.com\/\">Residences for Innovative Student Entrepreneurs<\/a> (<abbr>RISE<\/abbr>) is modeled after the <a href=\"https:\/\/lassonde.utah.edu\/studios\/\">Lassonde Studios<\/a>, a University of Utah student innovation and housing facility.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_178543\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-178543\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/manoa-pace-rise-lassonde-exterior-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"brown building\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-178543\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/manoa-pace-rise-lassonde-exterior-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/manoa-pace-rise-lassonde-exterior-130x73.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/manoa-pace-rise-lassonde-exterior.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-178543\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Lassonde Studios exterior<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&ldquo;It\u2019s going to change your campus,&rdquo; said Troy D\u2019Ambrosio, <a href=\"https:\/\/lassonde.utah.edu\/\">Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute<\/a> executive director. &ldquo;It\u2019s going to change individual lives. It\u2019s going to have a transformative experience for the people that go through that program and take advantage of the resources there.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The five-story Lassonde Studios features a 20,000-square-foot innovation space on the bottom floor to connect, test ideas, build prototypes, launch companies and learn by doing. The top four floors house 400 student residents. <abbr>RISE<\/abbr> is a six-story, live-learn-work facility, with a 10,000-square-foot innovation space on the lower floor outfitted with maker, meeting and classroom spaces for multi-purpose co-working. The top five floors will house 374 student residents.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pace.shidler.hawaii.edu\/\">Pacific Asian Center for Entrepreneurship<\/a> (<abbr>PACE<\/abbr>) in the <abbr title=\"东精影业\">东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/shidler.hawaii.edu\/\">Shidler College of Business<\/a> will operate the entrepreneurship program at <abbr>RISE<\/abbr>. <abbr>PACE<\/abbr> members have made multiple trips to Lassonde Studios. Agreda said if <abbr>RISE<\/abbr> was opened when he graduated from high school, he would have considered attending <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Having an institution and a program like that to support me, I feel I would incredibly consider it even more knowing that an institution wants to support me in any endeavor that I want to go into,&rdquo; Agreda said.<\/p>\n<p><abbr>RISE<\/abbr> is being built under a public-private partnership among <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr>, <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Foundation and Hunt Development Group. <abbr>RISE<\/abbr> is fully funded with private, non-taxpayer money.
