This week\u2019s 东精影业<\/abbr> News<\/em> Image of the Week is from the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa’s Fernando Santiago-Mandujano, an oceanography research associate in the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Santiago-Mandujano shared: “Eleanor Bates and Blake Watkins preparing for a night water-sampler deployment onboard the 东精影业<\/abbr> Research Vessel Kilo Moana<\/em> during a recent cruise of the Hawaiʻi<\/span> Ocean Time-series<\/a> (HOT<\/abbr>) project. Eleanor is a PhD<\/abbr> student at the 东精影业<\/abbr> Department of Oceanography<\/a> in a project to quantify Iron turnover in the upper ocean. The HOT<\/abbr> project has been conducting near-monthly cruises to Station ALOHA, 80 miles north of Oʻahu<\/span> for more than 33 years<\/a>, studying the hydrography and biogeochemical variability in the water column at this site.”<\/p>\n
