Three University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Mānoa women’s golfers<\/a> repeated as All-American Scholars announced by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association<\/a> (WGCA<\/abbr>). Sophomores Ting-Yu Liu, Hyeonji Kang and Mayumi Umezu were also named to the list last year.<\/p>\n

The criteria for selection to the WGCA<\/abbr> All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA<\/abbr> is 3.50 with a total of 1,401 women’s collegiate golfers representing 378 programs earning the prestigious recognition in 2022—23.<\/p>\n

This year marks the fifth consecutive year and ninth time in the last 11 years that at least one rainbow wahine was named to the All-American Scholar Team.<\/p>\n
