Three University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Hilo<\/a> men’s basketball student-athletes landed on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC<\/abbr>) Honors Court as the Vulcans overall earned a 2022–23 NABC<\/abbr> Team Academic Excellence Award for outstanding achievement in the classroom.<\/p>\n

Nadjrick Peat, Drew Yezbak and Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones finished the school year with a cumulative 3.2 GPA<\/abbr> or higher while the men’s basketball<\/a> team achieved a combined 3.3 GPA<\/abbr> for the 2022–23 school year.<\/p>\n

Last month, nine Vulcans were named to the Academic All-PacWest Team for finishing with at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA<\/abbr>.<\/p>\n

The NABC<\/abbr> Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes men’s basketball programs that completed the 2022–23 academic year with a team 3.0 GPA<\/abbr> or higher. The NABC<\/abbr> Honors Court includes juniors, seniors and graduate students who finished with a cumulative GPA<\/abbr> of 3.2 or higher.<\/p>\n
