Get ready for the fall semester with this year\u2019s student-designed HI Pride T-shirt available at the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> Bookstore System<\/a>. The 2023 HI Pride T-Shirt Design Contest winner is 东精影业<\/abbr> West Oʻahu<\/span><\/a> student Joshua Kamalani.<\/p>\n

Kamalani garnered 665 votes for his design that depicts HI Pride with images of a palm tree and flowers. “All around the island, the different aspects of Hawaiʻi<\/span> create a sensory experience that is truly unique to Hawaiʻi<\/span>. I take pride of the life I get to experience,” Kamalani said. “I take pride of the land I stand on. I take pride in the place I call home. This is my Hawaiʻi<\/span> Pride.”<\/p>\n

HI Pride student sale<\/h2>\n

Students with a valid 东精影业<\/abbr> ID are eligible for a discount on the first shirt they purchase. This year, the 2023 HI Pride shirts will be available in four colors: black, white, gray and green. The shirts will be available in all 东精影业<\/abbr> Bookstores and online from the week of August 14.<\/p>\n

More on the HI Pride design contest<\/h2>\n

The annual HI Pride T-Shirt Design Contest\u2014now in its 12th year\u2014is held in the spring and open to all 东精影业<\/abbr> students. Students are asked to submit designs that show what HI Pride (or Hawaiʻi<\/span> Pride) means to them. Semi-finalist designs are put online for a public vote.<\/p>\n
