The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa<\/a> is one of the nation\u2019s best higher education institutions, according to The Princeton Review<\/em>\u2019s 2024 edition of “The Best 389 Colleges<\/a>” guide, released on August 15.<\/p>\n

The rankings are solely based on its surveys of college students about their schools. The schools included in “The Best 389 Colleges” are not ranked from No<\/abbr>. 1–No<\/abbr>. 389, and feature the top 15% of four-year colleges in the U.S.<\/p>\n

In addition, The Princeton Review<\/em> placed 东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa as one of the top 79 colleges in the west, and one of the top 455 “green” colleges, which recognizes the most environmentally responsible schools.<\/p>\n

“This national recognition is a testament to the hard work of our world-class faculty, students and staff,” 东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa Provost Michael Bruno said. “We are committed to constantly raising the bar to improve the experience we provide our students in and out of the classroom.”<\/p>\n

More about ‘The Best 389 Colleges’<\/h2>\n

The Princeton Review<\/em> collected 165,000 surveys of students at the schools in The Best 389 Colleges (about 424 per school on average). The surveys were conducted in 2022–23 and\/or the previous two academic years. The 85-question survey asked students to rate their professors, administrators, financial aid, campus amenities, school services and other aspects of life at their colleges on a five-point scale, and to report on their experiences at them.<\/p>\n

“We created our rankings to provide a resource for college applicants that helps them answer what may well be the toughest question in their college search—‘What\u2019s the best school for me?’” said Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review<\/em> and lead author of The Best 389 Colleges. “Our selection of colleges for this book reflects our high opinion of the schools: we recommend each one as academically outstanding. Our ranking lists reflect the opinions of the school\u2019s students—their customers—and their reports to us about their campus experiences.”<\/p>\n
