To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Mānoa William S. Richardson School of Law<\/a>, more than 200 东精影业<\/abbr> students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the law school joined in a kick-off celebration on September 6.<\/p>\n

The event opened with former Gov. John Waiheʻe,<\/span> a 东精影业<\/abbr> law school alumnus from the first graduating class, emceeing the night, followed by remarks from 东精影业<\/abbr> law school Dean Camille Nelson, Lt. Gov. Sylvia Luke and retired Judge Barbara “Bebe” Richardson, who is William S. Richardson\u2019s daughter. Students who graduated from the first 东精影业<\/abbr> law school class in 1973 also attended the event.<\/p>\n

“As we reflect on the 50th anniversary of the William S. Richardson School of Law, we celebrate five decades of educating lawyers and leaders who have made a tremendous impact in Hawaiʻi,<\/span> the U.S. and internationally,” said Nelson. “We look forward to the next 50 years of empowering legal leaders who will continue to uphold Richardson\u2019s values of developing highly skilled, ethical professionals who further justice in all areas of society.”<\/p>\n

The event was catered by Tammy Smith with entertainment by Lyle and Friends.<\/p>\n

More events to celebrate 50 years of the 东精影业<\/abbr> law school are tentatively scheduled for the fall semester. There will also be a 50th anniversary gala held on May 31, 2024, with more details to come. For more information, see the 东精影业<\/abbr> law school website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
