University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Hilo women’s volleyball<\/a>‘s Emerson Reinke and Tani Hoke were announced as part of the 2023 Academic All-District Volleyball Team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC<\/abbr>) on December 12.<\/p>\n

The CSC<\/abbr> Academic All-America\/District program recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom, requiring a cumulative GPA<\/abbr> of 3.5 or higher.<\/p>\n

Reinke, a sophomore setter and communication major, and Hoke, a senior libero and political science major, both started and played in all 28 matches and 108 sets played this past fall.<\/p>\n

Hoke also earned All-PacWest Second Team honors and became the program’s new all-time digs leader with a career total of 1,603 and counting. Reinke surpassed 1,000 assists alone this season, ranking at No. 10 in the program’s single-season record books.<\/p>\n
