Indigenous cultures now turn to <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo to help them revive their languages. Students at Waadookodaading Ojibwe Language Institute<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span aria-label=\"Kawaiaea\">Kawai&#699;ae&#699;a<\/span> joined <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo in 1992 as an educational specialist, and has served as founding director of the campus\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.olelo.hawaii.edu\/en\/khuok\/mokunakalaiike\/mulipuka\/kwo\">Kahuawaiola Indigenous Teacher Education Program<\/a>, director of <a href=\"https:\/\/hilo.hawaii.edu\/catalog\/hale-kuamoo-center-for-hawaiian-language\">Hale <span aria-label=\"Kuamoo\">Kuamo&#699;o<\/span> Hawaiian Language Center<\/a> and founding partner of <a href=\"https:\/\/ulukau.org\/?l=en\">Ulukau: The Hawaiian Electronic Library<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Kahuawaiola Hawaiian and Indigenous Teacher Training Program is a three-semester graduate certificate program, delivered primarily through the medium of Hawaiian, specifically designed to prepare Mauli Ola <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> (Hawaiian identity nurturing) teachers of the highest quality to teach in Hawaiian language medium schools, Hawaiian language and culture programs in English medium schools, and schools serving students with a strong Hawaiian cultural background.<\/p>\n<p><abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Hilo is also expanding the use of <span aria-label=\"olelo\">&#699;&#333;lelo<\/span> <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> in various programs and curriculum, incorporating it into courses.
