Update April 28:<\/strong> The BeachBows received the No<\/abbr>. 9 seed and will open the 2024 NCAA<\/abbr> Beach Volleyball Championship against No<\/abbr>. 8 seed Loyola Marymount University (27-13). 东精影业<\/abbr> will square off against the Lions on Friday, May 3 at 7 a.m. HST<\/abbr> on ESPNU<\/abbr>. It will be a familiar postseason foe for the ‘Bows who have now drawn LMU<\/abbr> in the NCAA<\/abbr> opening round in each of the last three years.<\/p>\n

The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at M\u0101noa beach volleyball<\/a> team captured the Big West Championship with a pair of wins, April 26, on the campus of Long Beach City College. The Rainbow Wahine defeated UC<\/abbr> Davis, 3-0, in the semifinals before edging host Long Beach State, 3-2, in a dramatic title match.<\/p>\n

It marked 东精影业<\/abbr>\u2019s fourth title in eight seasons of Big West beach volleyball and its first since 2018. In the process, the BeachBows (24-11) also earned the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA<\/abbr> Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama. 东精影业<\/abbr> will enter the tourney riding a season-long eight-match win streak after going a perfect 4-0 during the Big West Championship.<\/p>\n

东精影业<\/abbr> improved to 11-1 all-time against Long Beach State in the Big West tournament and 4-0 in the title match. The \u2018Bows also earned redemption from last year when the Beach upset the host Rainbow Wahine in the 2023 Big West semifinals.<\/p>\n

The ‘Bows will now await their postseason destiny with the NCAA<\/abbr> Selection Show. The show will air at 5 a.m. Hawaiʻi<\/span> time on Sunday, April 28 at NCAA<\/abbr>.com.<\/p>\n
