Fifteen students were enrolled in Pearl City High School\u2019s International Business and Design Academy (<abbr>IBAD<\/abbr>) and offered the cohort to graduate with a Career and Technical Education (<abbr>CTE<\/abbr>) honors certificate and a Certificate of Achievement in Management this spring.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of traditional high school <abbr>CTE<\/abbr> courses, these students completed college-level business courses and established the HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union Student-Operated Credit Union, handling deposits and opening accounts for Pearl City High School staff and students.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_196991\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-196991\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/leeward-pcsh-cte-program-advisors-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Three people in a classroom\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-196991\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/leeward-pcsh-cte-program-advisors-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/leeward-pcsh-cte-program-advisors-130x73.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/leeward-pcsh-cte-program-advisors.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-196991\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">From left, Syreeta Washington, Malamalama Ada, Daphne Okunaga<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&ldquo;This program has been life-changing for me.
