The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> at Mānoa William S. Richardson School of Law<\/a> has once again been nationally recognized for its focus on racial justice and personalized learning environment. In the fall 2024 issue<\/a> of The National Jurist\u2019s preLaw<\/em> magazine, 东精影业<\/abbr> law school was given an “A” rating in racial justice and ranked No.<\/abbr> 11 in the U.S. for student-faculty ratio.<\/p>\n

The mission of the 东精影业<\/abbr> law school is to be a collaborative, multicultural community that prepares students for excellence in careers that advance justice and the rule of law. With programs such as Native Hawaiian law<\/a> and Pacific-Asian Legal Studies<\/a>, the law school is consistently acknowledged for its commitment to social justice<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The issue explained how small student-faculty ratios can make a huge difference in students\u2019 experiences. The National Jurist reached out to gather insight into how this is benefitting 东精影业<\/abbr>\u2019s law school students.<\/p>\n

“A smaller class allows a professor to have eye contact with each student and read their body language to gain awareness of how the students\u2019 learning is proceeding,” said Nicholas Mirkay, associate dean for academic affairs and 东精影业<\/abbr> law professor. “It allows the classroom discussion to go in different directions, and that brings a sense of what is of interest to the students.”<\/p>\n
