The initiative offers access to the Google Career Certificates program, which equips people with skills for in-demand fields including cybersecurity, data analytics and <abbr>IT<\/abbr> support. University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> students will also have free access to Google <abbr>AI<\/abbr> Essentials course. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/system-bookstore-uhwo-student-computer-260x138.jpg\" alt=\"students at a computer\" width=\"260\" height=\"138\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-43380\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/system-bookstore-uhwo-student-computer-260x138.jpg 260w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/system-bookstore-uhwo-student-computer.jpg 620w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 260px) 100vw, 260px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Students who participate in the Google Career Certificate program have access to an Employer Consortium of more than 150 companies&#8212;including Deloitte, Ford, Siemens, Shutterstock, T-Mobile, Verizon, Wells Fargo and Google&#8212;that consider Google Career Certificate graduates for relevant roles. More than 350,000 people have completed the Google Career Certificate program in the <abbr>U.S.<\/abbr> and more than 70% of graduates report positive career outcomes (e.g. new job, promotion, or raise) within six months of certificate completion. <\/p>\n<p>Google\u2019s <abbr>AI<\/abbr> course can be completed in approximately 5 hours, and teaches foundational <abbr>AI<\/abbr> skills, prompting techniques, <abbr>AI<\/abbr> best practices, and how to use <abbr>AI<\/abbr> responsibly. The courses help people get practical, hands-on experience using <abbr>AI<\/abbr> to help with work tasks through videos, readings, and interactive exercises. The skills learned can be applied to a variety of roles across industries. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a valuable opportunity for our community to develop in-demand <abbr>AI<\/abbr> skills and stay ahead in today&#8217;s rapidly evolving technological landscape,&rdquo; <abbr title=\"东精影业\">东精影业<\/abbr> President Wendy Hensel said. &ldquo;We are excited to partner with Google to offer this valuable resource.
