A peer review team is currently conducting an initial assessment, with an in-person evaluation visit scheduled for mid-September 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The campus community and the public are invited to review each campus\u2019 <abbr>ISER<\/abbr> and submit comments. This feedback provides valuable insights to the commission as it evaluates each institution\u2019s reaffirmation of accreditation, a process that occurs every seven to eight years.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_211949\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-211949\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/commcoll-kapiolani-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"Students inside a center\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-211949\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/commcoll-kapiolani-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/commcoll-kapiolani-130x73.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/commcoll-kapiolani.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-211949\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Leeward <abbr>CC<\/abbr> students in Welcome Center<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Anyone&#8212;including students, faculty, staff and community members&#8212;<a href=\"https:\/\/accjc.org\/forms\/third-party-comments\/\">can submit comments through the commission\u2019s online form<\/a>, available on each college\u2019s accreditation website or the <abbr>ACCJC<\/abbr> website. To ensure consideration, comments must be submitted at least five weeks before the scheduled peer review visit in September 2025. Institutions will have the opportunity to review applicable third-party comments.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Accreditation is a critical process that ensures our community colleges continue to meet high standards of educational quality and student support,&rdquo; said Della Teraoka, interim vice president for <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Community Colleges. &ldquo;Community feedback plays an essential role in this process, providing valuable perspectives that help us assess our strengths and identify areas for improvement.
