Camp Kau Kau activities will feature cooking classes showcasing local fruits and veggies<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The University of Hawaiʻi<\/span> 4-H<\/abbr> Military Partnership<\/a> welcomes children and families to learn about local agriculture and Hawaiʻi<\/span>\u2019s culture at free events this summer. While priority will be given to young people and families connected to the military, the events are open to all families at no cost.<\/p>\n

Hawaiʻi<\/span> 4-H<\/abbr>, part of 东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa\u2019s College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience, has empowered more than 500,000 youth through hands-on learning rooted in agriculture and cultural education.<\/p>\n

SEED camp teaches keiki how to care for plants<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

4-H<\/abbr> Garden SEED Camp at the Urban Garden Center in Pearl City (June 16–20) <\/h2>\n

For keiki who have completed grades K–2, the weeklong SEED Camp features seed dissections, garden planting, exciting cooking projects and more. Campers will explore the wonders of growing their own food, from seed planting to a healthy and delicious meal.

Military ʻOhana Day: Lei Making Workshop in Waim\u0101nalo (June 28)<\/h2>\n

Families are invited to gather plumeria blossoms and learn the traditional art of kui (stringing) lei. This hands-on workshop explores the rich cultural and historical significance of lei-making, celebrating tradition, fostering connection and embracing aloha.
