Richardson School of Law<\/a> were among the conference\u2019s financial sponsors. <a href=\"https:\/\/manoa.hawaii.edu\/library\/\">Hamilton Library <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/westoahu.hawaii.edu\"><abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> West <span lang=\"haw\">O&#699;ahu<\/span><\/a> faculty played key roles in planning, and presenters and volunteers came from across the <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> System and <span lang=\"haw\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>. <\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_222482\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-222482\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/manoa-av-archives-conf-heukeleum-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-222482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/manoa-av-archives-conf-heukeleum-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/manoa-av-archives-conf-heukeleum-130x73.jpg 130w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/manoa-av-archives-conf-heukeleum.jpg 676w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-222482\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> M\u0101noa librarian Malia Van Heukelem shares works in the Jean Charlot Collection and Archive of <span lang=\"haw\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Artists and Architects.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Participants took part in a workshop at the <a href=\"https:\/\/westoahu.hawaii.edu\/places\/uluulu-archive\/\"><span lang=\"haw\">&#699;Ulu&#699;ulu<\/span> Moving Image Archive<\/a> at <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> West <span lang=\"haw\">O&#699;ahu<\/span>, toured <a href=\"https:\/\/ktuh.org\/\"><abbr>KTUH-FM<\/abbr> radio station<\/a>, and explored Hamilton Library\u2019s Asia, Hawaiian, Pacific, and University Archives collections. They also visited key cultural sites, including Bishop Museum, the Jaku\u2019an Japanese Tea House at the East-West Center, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.waikikiaquarium.org\/\">Waik\u012bk\u012b Aquarium<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I thought it was a great opportunity to bring people here to showcase the library and our collections, and also focus on <span lang=\"haw\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> and the Pacific,&rdquo; said David Rowntree, digital preservation librarian at Hamilton Library and local organizing chair.<\/p>\n<p>University Librarian Clem Guthro added: &ldquo;We are a major research university, and we\u2019re doing work that isn\u2019t being done elsewhere in the world.
