Regidor earned his butchery certification in October from <span lang=\"haw\">Hawai\u02bbi<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr>&#8216;s K\u014d Education Center.<\/p>\n<p>Guests enjoyed a curated menu highlighting locally raised pork from Kaunamano Farm in <span lang=\"haw\">Honoka\u02bba<\/span>. The experience set the tone for an afternoon of culinary excellence rooted in <span lang=\"haw\">Hawai\u02bbi<\/span> Island&#8217;s people and places.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen people sit down to enjoy a meal that&#8217;s rooted in this island, they&#8217;re not just tasting food\u2014they&#8217;re tasting <span lang=\"haw\">Hawai\u02bbi<\/span>,\u201d said Brandon Lee, co-owner of Lehua and Napua restaurants and Kaunamano Farms.<\/p>\n<h2>Main event<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_224244\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-224244\" style=\"width: 214px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/hawaii-taste-of-hilo-2025-10-214x300.jpg\" alt=\"Chef plating food\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-224244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/hawaii-taste-of-hilo-2025-10-214x300.jpg 214w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/hawaii-taste-of-hilo-2025-10-93x130.jpg 93w, https:\/\/www.hawaii.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/hawaii-taste-of-hilo-2025-10.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 214px) 100vw, 214px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-224244\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chef Keoni Regidor<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Following the showcase, the main event transformed Sangha Hall into a bustling tasting venue featuring more than 20 chefs, restaurants and beverage makers.
