A special <a href=\"http:\/\/uhcc.hawaii.edu\/uhcc50\/index.php\">50th Anniversary Gala Celebration<\/a> will be held on November 14 at Dole Cannery&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pomaikaiballrooms.com\/index.php\"><span aria-label=\"Pomaikai\">Pomaika&#699;i<\/span> Ballrooms<\/a>, doors will open at 5:30 p.m. <\/p>\n<p>The gala will pay special tribute to two visionaries&#8212;Governor John A. Burns and the first Vice President for Community Colleges Richard Kosaki&#8212;who were instrumental in creating the <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Community Colleges.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the 50th anniversary commemorative award, or &ldquo;50 finest&rdquo; award, will recognize individuals, programs and services that have made outstanding contributions in service of the growth, innovation and success of the community colleges. <a href=\"http:\/\/uhcc.hawaii.edu\/uhcc50\/finest.php\">Meet the 50 Finest.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The gala will feature 13 live-action culinary stations hosted by <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span>&#8217;s top culinary chefs in partnership with <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Community Colleges culinary arts students and faculty.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guest chefs<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Alexander Amorin<\/strong> (<span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr>): executive chef, Duke&#8217;s Canoe Club, Kalapaki Beach, <span aria-label=\"Kauai\">Kaua&#699;i<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong>Jake Belmonte<\/strong> (<abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Maui College): chef instructor, Maui Culinary Academy, University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Maui College<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ron de Guzman<\/strong> (Leeward <abbr>CC<\/abbr>): executive chef, Stage Restaurant<\/li>\n<li><strong>Royden Ellamar<\/strong> (<span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr>): executive chef, Sensi at Bellagio<\/li>\n<li><strong>Colin Hazama<\/strong>: senior executive sous chef, Sheraton Waik&#299;k&#299;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Scotty Hiraishi<\/strong> (<span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr>): executive chef and managing partner, Feeding Leaf<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stanton Ho<\/strong> (<span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr>): pastry chef consultant, private consultant<\/li>\n<li><strong>Curtis Horka<\/strong> (<span aria-label=\"Kauai\">Kaua&#699;i<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr>): executive chef, Honolulu Coffee Company<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jason Ichiki<\/strong> (Leeward <abbr>CC<\/abbr>): executive chef, Roy&#8217;s Restaurant Waik&#299;k&#299;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ryan Loo<\/strong> (<span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr>): executive chef, Westin Moana Surfrider<\/li>\n<li><strong>Santa Miyoshi<\/strong>: chef owner, Tokkuri Tei Restaurant<\/li>\n<li><strong>Travis Morrin<\/strong> (<abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Maui College): chef owner, Three&#8217;s Bar and Grill Maui<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wade Ueoka<\/strong> (<span aria-label=\"Kapiolani\">Kapi&#699;olani<\/span> <abbr>CC<\/abbr>): chef owner, <abbr>MW<\/abbr> Restaurant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The celebration will also features entertainment provided by the talented students and alumni from the <abbr>东精影业<\/abbr> Community Colleges.<\/p>\n<h2>Ticket information<\/h2>\n<p>Tickets can be purchased through the <a href=\"http:\/\/uhcc.hawaii.edu\/uhcc50\/gala.php\">University of <span aria-label=\"Hawaii\">Hawai&#699;i<\/span> Community College&#8217;s website<\/a>. Tickets are $55 per person.
